Re-Tros Album Launch This Weekend!

Armed with a new album, Rebuilding The Rights of Statues (Re-Tros) are returning to Shanghai to launch what is looking to be one of the biggest Chinese releases of the year. Two years on from their highly acclaimed debut release "Cut Off", Re-Tros have finished recording their much anticipated new album "WATCH OUT! CLIMATE HAS CHANGED, FAT MUM RISES...". It's obvious from the first few songs that the trio have kept their brooding atmospheric post-punk roots and have layered it with a focus on developing a far larger sound. "WATCH OUT! CLIMATE HAS CHANGED, FAT MUM RISES..." is a shifting into the next gear for a band that has already headlined several music festivals and even had the chance to work together with the likes of Brian Eno.

If this is your first chance to see Re-Tros, we urge you not to miss it. There are few bands that have managed to portray their emotions so clearly through their music and to raise the bar to a global standard.

Supporting Re-Tros will be Nanjing Indie/Experimental outfit - Fading Horizon. Signed to Miniless Records, Fading Horizon are quickly making their name in China's populating Indie music scene with their signature lo-fi Noise Rock numbers. Get ready for a night of dim lighting, deranged atmospheres and static infused sounds worthy of the coming apocalypse.

After the bands play, S.T.D. will be hosting a free after party in LOgO with the STDJs to go into the wee hours of the morning. Maybe we'll hire a public bus again....in any case we suggest you come unprotected...
